Greg Ginn – of Black Flag and SST Records fame – will be stopping by KRUI Studios tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon.  Ginn will be playing at The Mill that evening.

NYC based High Places are on the up and up.  They are getting positive reviews AND coming to Iowa City!  High Places will be playing at the Mill 9/26 w/ Ponytail. KRUI will giving away tickets to the show – so be on the lookout for more info soon!

Aseethe In-Studio, 9/23 :: 6 pm

San Francisco based Aseethe will be stopping by KRUI this coming Tuesday at 6 pm.  Brian of Aseethe will be a guest on Invisible Time Lines with Ian MacMillan.  Aseethe, along with Shores of Tundra, Disgruntled Noisebox and Molly Ringwald, will be playing at The Picador that evening.  “Black Heart” by Aseethe can be downloaded

Back On for the Fall Semester

Good News!  Your Sound Alternative — KRUI 89.7 FM is back on 24/7 for the Fall Semester.  Broadcasting from the Quad Residence Hall, the flood could only keep us down for so long.  The schedule for the semester can be found here.  Keep your eyes peeled for a bunch of cool things (ticket give-aways, in-studios, etc.) in the coming weeks.
