Starting Friday, December 19th at 5 PM, KRUI will be off live programming due to the University’s Winter Break. There will be an interim schedule; more information on that soon. Marble Sky is Jeff Witscher (Secret Abuse, Trash Dog, Deep Jew, Impregnable, etc.). Past recordings find Jeff conjuring devastatingly beautiful tidepools of romantic, nostalgic drone music. He’ll be playing brand new material live in the studio on Tuesday, December 16 at 7PM on Invisible Time Lines w/Ian MacMillan. After his set, Jeff will be playing a few tracks from his favorite ambient and drone artists.

UI Wrestling Head Coach Tom Brands will appear on the KRUI 89.7 FM Friday, December 12th at noon.
KRUI Sports Director Jordan Loperena will interview Coach Brands on College Gridiron Weekly Preview. The conversation will focus on the current wrestling season; including the December 11th Iowa-Northern Iowa match-up. Brands, a 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist, is in his third year as head coach. He was named the 2008 NWCA Big Ten Coach of the Year. UI alums, and current Houston Astro broadcasters, Milo Hamilton and Brett Dolan have been recent guests on KRUI.
