Programming Director

The Programming Department has the largest number of staff members. Management within the department is ultimately responsible for everything aired on KRUI. Because of this, the department must work closely with News, Sports, Music, and Marketing Departments. Students in the Programming Department learn how to operate broadcast equipment, are exposed to the actual constraints of FCC regulation and station policy, and must strive to present themselves in an articulate, professional manner. Working as a KRUI Air-Staff member is a logical starting point for those interested in a radio broadcasting career.
